Debate Materials

Hi everyone, I heard that the National Debate Championships are comming up again and I'm sure you guys are already gearing up for much-needed practise and preparations. Feel free to post motions, cases, issues and questions on the blog. The ORADEC alumni would be glad to help you do some background research and analytical digestion on some of the tougher issues that you will be facing at the tournament. Cheers!

The Neophytes

Hi everyone, I heard that you guys had a great recruiting season this year. Joeven also says that the new batch of recruits is quite impressive. Does anyone have an idea of what batch of ORADEC members actually turned out to be the best? Feel free to post comments, everyone.

Welcome to the ORADEC Jungle!

Hi everyone!

I know, I know...this is quite a novel approach for us to keep in touch. But I just thought it might be helpful if we all had a public foruw where we all had access to the same information.

I must say that the ORADEC alumni yahoo group has been quite good at helping us keep in touch most of the time. However, I think it's time to take it a step further and establish a wider public forum to supplement our email groups.

On this blog, I'd like to encourage everyone to post your comments, rants and raves about anything you feel like at any time. The only rule is to make sure that you post your comments in the "ORADEC way"-- sharp, witty, smart, irreverent and straight to the core. Remember, no topic is too cheesy to post and neither is any topic too serious.

For current ORADEC debaters, feel free to post some of the thornier motions you're currently facing in practise and I'm sure some of the alumni would be glad to help supply you with some arguments and nuggets of analysis.

Welcome to the ORADEC jungle...enjoy the never-ending debate!!
